No 3 on 3, no 4 on 4, no shootouts, no crying over a guy clutching you and getting a penalty out of it.

I like the Kings' chances 5 on 5, especially if they play a grinding tight-checking defensive game and Quick holds down the fort. The wonder twins will get frustrated quickly.

My only worry is if the officials start falling for McDavid's ridiculous embellishment shenanigans and Edmonton gets a bunch of undeserved PPs.

Not enough is said about McDavids poor playoff career.

I don’t see this going well for the Oilers.

Kings in 5

We all wish differently but unless Quick time travels 10 years in the past the Oilers will win this series with ease.

Bump Smith early and often, LA.

It's a game of psychological warfare for you with one man. That's basically it.

LA plays the right way, but a +3 goal differential on the season tells me they've squeezed all the juice they can from the orange. Oilers have looked much better of late and are going in with confidence. Oilers in 5.

Exactly, and get in Smith's face and throw him off. Then Kostin'em will have to come and let in his patented weak goals like he did against Chicago.

Egregiously No Good.

They're starting Skinner by game four.

Oilers have 3 more regulation wins than the Kings...and the Kings played with 7 guys out for three months.

This isn't a mismatch
SO and 3 on 3 inflate the Oilers big time

If the Oilers do get past LA, my quick math suggests they dance the cha cha cha with Colorado in round 2 (assuming Flames and avalanche win their respective series). The Oilers will be like a fly in the toilet desperately clinging to life while being flushed into oblivion.

Nope it would be a battle of alberta round 2.

The rest of what you said holds true though.

Kings in 6 or less, Oilers win a game or 2 tops because Quick is old.

Kings in 6 or the closest sweep in NHL history.

E=NG, but the best Kings players remaining are young and inexperienced. Oilers in 7, just to lose to the Flames in 5 in the BOA in the next round.

Either result is fine.

Either utter embarrassment or we get to dispose of these paper tigers ourselves.

The only players not remaining are Doughty and Walker.

Also, when looking at their stats page they still have a decent amount of playoff experience with their top players. Maybe the Oilers have more overall but confidence can overcome experience.
