I don't really hate on the golden knights as much as you guys. When you put it into perspective. We only hating on them cause the NHL uses a hard cap. Yet nobody whines about the roster disparity in the MLB, like we do in the NHL. But would you watch the NHL more if they went into a salary model like the MLB?
Nope, we hate cheaters! So are you saying it's the NHL's fault that they use a hard cap? Why should we whine about the roster disparity in the MLB on a hockey forum? I'm sorry, I really don't understand.

No. For it goes beyond the cap thing. I hate them because:
1. They came into the league and were too good too quickly. They didn’t have to pay their dues. Which lead to…
2. They have really annoying and entitled fans who have, in my opinion, an overrated reputation of being a great fan base. Let’s see how well they do when their team is junk. And the amount of non-Vegas residents who bandwagoned them disgusts me.
3. They competed and beat us out on both Mark Stone and Jack Eichel (and yes, I’m aware Stone was only re-signing in Vegas, and Eichel was the best thing never to happen to us, but they still pissed me off during both those processes)

What? Small market teams hate the roster disparity. Are you à yankee or dodgers fan.

Nah I was making a comparison. Besides it isn't cheating, unless they made the playoffs via a loophole. I just don't see the same amount of dislike for a franchise to say Tampa Bay.
It’s funny watching Vegas tonight… I could honestly see then going the direction of San Jose after this season. A team that had their shot but couldn’t get it done and is now committed long-term to several players that may never be what they used to be due to injuries (Stone, Eichel, Pacioretty, Karlsson). Stone especially I could see be similar to Erik Karlsson in terms of going from being one of the most elite players at his position in the league to just an above average NHLer.

Well, when TB first came into the league, they did not received the same preferential treatment as Vegas. And they went through a lot of dry year.
C'mon they were trying to cheat, just that they are not very smart and mishandled it.
Three straight shootout losses without a single shooter scoring a goal for them.
0-3 on Sunday against San Jose (a game in which they had a 2 goal lead with just over 2 minutes left)
0-7 last night against Dallas
0-7 tonight against Chicago
Stone has 1 assist since returning to the lineup on April 12 (his brother is outscoring him in the month of April, and he's a low-scoring defenceman who hasn't played a game since April 12). Eichel has 1 assist in their last 6 games.

Nobody whines about the salary disparity in MLB because baseball sucks, and no one cares.

My disgust with VGK has more than anything g to do with how they have built their team. They were ab expansion franchise with thd most favorable drat rules ever I.agined for any NHL franchise ever, and their list of drafted roster players begins and ends with Nick Hague and a bunch of nobodies. They built their team wrong despite the massive advantage of having top-five picks in their first three drafts, and now they are going to suck for a decade as a result.

They still tried, which is why 99% of the hockey world is glad they failed. They even smugly joked about it when they thought the Pacific division would be a cake walk.
It's also a trash organization that treats their players like garbage
People are happy it has all caught up to them.
Flames division rival tried to go into the playoffs with a 93M payroll and missed the playoffs, why wouldn't be we thrilled?
