Dallas looked awful and dog-tired to end their game last night (I started watching after the Flames' game ended). They wouldn't be able to keep up with the Flames, IMO. Nashville would be the most entertaining opponent.
Ultimately, my choice has no bearing and will be looking forwarded to being entertained either way.

Dallas, if this game was any indicator a series against Nashville will have a lot of sore bodies, and maybe multiple injuries. I think Dallas is easier to deal with as long as you can keep deflections down. I also think that Dallas will have a tougher time on the power play against us if the officials decide to take over a game.
All in all, I thought that the Flames were the better team than Dallas in their meetings. Dallas enjoyed some bounces, but in general the Flames were pushing the play. Against Nashville the games seemed a lot more like a coin flip, especially with Saros and Nashville limiting most of our set plays in the offensive zone.

I'm not sure they will "ragdoll" either team. Both have their strengths and both have their weaknesses. If Nashville is without Saros, the obvious would be to play Nashville since Rittich is just nowhere near the level of other playoff goalies. Dallas comes with the similar stingy style of play to the Flames, and a big lineup that will make it very hard to score and likely a very taxing series physically.
This is a very good Flames team, but one of the biggest playoff challenges is getting out of the first round (as all Calgary fans should be well aware of). I wouldn't be taking any team lightly.

Picked Nashville but don't mind either.
If we just focus on our game we'll be fine.
The fellas are ready to rumble. I hope it does get nasty regardless of who we face as I see us well prepared for anything.

Nashville sounds like way more fun to me, that’s my only reasoning.

I had preferred the Stars, but after last night's game I have to say the Pred's.
Watching Chucky continue to get under Duschene's skin, and Milo and Guddy on patrol over a best of four series will be hockey as it was meant to be.

I think we're in their heads now for sure. Nashville hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire lately.
Since February 1st until today (so over the past 35 games, almost half the season), they are barely over 0.500. They have a record of 17-15-3 over that time, which would put them on pace for 10th in the conference, behind Winnipeg, Vancouver and Dallas. In comparison, Dallas is 22-13-3 over the same time frame, good for 5th in the conference.
That is a significant chunk of the season to extrapolate where the teams actually are in terms of current effectiveness. Going back further, Nashville is only 20-17-5 over the past 42 games. For half the season, they have not been performing at a playoff pace and have benefited from a pretty hot start. On January 15th, they were 1st in the entire conference.

The one with less rough stuff. Can't be getting beat up if we're going on a run. I see NSH taking runs at Tkachuk. They got away with a spear to the nuts under regular season reffing..
I could see the Flames making a Dallas series short enough that they get out of it relatively unscathed.

Dallas is 5-5 in their last 10, Nashville is 3-7, and that's with Saros. They also have the more entertaining crowd. So Nashville.

It doesn't matter, we should beat either one but I chose Nashville because Saros looks like he is banged up and they take a lot of penalties. Dallas actually plays a more penalty filled style than anyone but they don't get called for it.

I really like the former goalie tour.
NSH - Rittich
E=NG - Smitty
MIN - Talbot
TB - FU Elliott

Has to be Nashville with Saros likely out for at least a bit.
Dallas scares me because Joe Pavelski becomes a different in big games.

I have seen enough of Dallas in the playoffs. I really don't care how they match up against either, I just prefer to watch a Calgary Nashville series.

If Saros is hurt long term I would rather have Nashville. If not, Dallas.
They should beat either but I think Saros has a better chance to steal the series than Oettinger.

They also scare me because Benn will not only make dirty plays that might injure a player, he will get away with it.
