As has Markstrom, obviously

Assessing the season overall, goaltending has to get a 9 out of 10.
And with that said, there is little to no reason for fans to expect the goaltending to completely fall into oblivion just because the team is in the post season.

Markstrom shouldn't just sit on his hands the last half of April either, and is likely to log 10 starts in 30 days (plus some starts where he has been pulled). To me it doesn't sound like an incredibly heavy workload when he's had months starting 12-13 games this season.

He needs to get use to a playoff workload

I still think Markstrom has played too much especially when you factor in his age relative to most of those goaltenders taking on heavy loads. The Jets have burned out Hellebuyck just as the Flames burned out Kipper as he aged as he had nothing left in his last few playoff series appearances. I also don't think Markstrom has been his best down the stretch but it's not the end of the world to me because I'm putting faith in Sutter here who's done everything mostly right this season.

Hellebuyck has been pretty damn good all in all in the post-season despite seeing heavy starts (aside from 2019-2020 which I'll toss given the covid bubble fiasco). In fact, he had pretty stellar playoff numbers in the regular season which he had the most starts, so I don't think you can draw any conclusions that his workload lead to poor performances in the playoffs.

Any top tier goalie will be fine, despite the workload, provided they actually enter the playoffs refreshed. From what I can see, Sutter is making sure this happens with Markstrom.

Now, if he starts 4/5 final games I will have some concerns here, but there's no reason to expect this.

I'd keep him away from potential PO opponents because there's a risk they'll be more 'careless' around his crease in a game that doesn't matter...
