Midway though the 3rd and the Caps have really been coming on. They know that time is now their enemy.
Minor penalty to Jared Spurgeon and now with about eight a half to go, you have to think this is the last gasp for the Caps.
But nothing the Caps are unable to generate much and it’s another missed opportunity.
3rd period continues…
Caps really pressing now.
Shot! Misses the net! Another shot! Also wide. The caps are desperate now.

And that’s been the story of this one. This is Washington’s 5th PP of the night, while the Stars have just had one. But the Caps have gone 0/4 so far.
Face off controlled by the Caps. Shot by Giordano! Save Saros! And he cover up.
Now it’s Danault and Copp on the face off to the right of Saros who has been terrific in this final period.
Face off controlled by Dallas. Puck is to the corner. Big scrum.
The Capitals come out with it but it doesn’t matter. They have run out of time.

Wow what a series!!! I really thought it was over after game 2. Heck of a run by the Caps...squeaking into the playoffs and going all the way to game 7. Amazing and lots to be proud of. Thanks for a great and VERY fun series Bago!
