Seems like these guys on SN only look at the results and don't actually watch the Oilers play. This little 6 game run they've been on is all smoke & mirros, and it's been on the back of a few OT/SO wins against bottom feeders (Yotes, Ducks, Sharks), an injury-riddled LA team, and one good team with their back-up in net while playing some of their worst hockey of the year (St. Louis).

Oilers have also been outplayed for long stretches during many of these games.
