The Stars almost blew it as the Sharks closed the gap. Dallas did hang on to win 5-4 in reg time. Seguin had 3 points and Wedgewood gets his 2nd straight win in net for the Stars. Kahkonen let in the 4 first period goals and then Reimer took over at the start of the 2nd period. Neither team scored on the PP with the Stars going 0/3 and 0/1 for the Sharks. The Stars are now in 8th place in the western conf. Just a point back of the Predators.
The Kings PK was perfect, it was 6/6, scored a SHG by Kempe, and that's a big reason why the Kings won in reg time over the Jets. Kopitar played in his 1200th career game. The Kings had 19 shots in the 1st period.
The Wild won 3-1 despite being out shot 38-19 by the Hurricanes. Fleury was the reason the Wild stole this game.
The Panthers-Devils game was crazy. Neither team scored a PPG, but, the Devils' Sharangovich scored a SHG as he got a hat trick. The weird stat was that the 3 goals scored in the 1st period were all unassisted.
