I find that TSN typically streams at 540p. Pretty rough.

Low frames per second too. Probably 24 at best

TSN's Live feed on a PC web browser is decent (1080p60 when it's not buffering), but there's no ability to pause or rewind. No Android TV option is a big miss for me, since casting it through Chromecast lowers the quality. TSN's replays are all 540p30 which is terrible.

Sportsnet Now is fine if you play it on a PC web browser, but the Android TV quality is only 720p30 95% of the time and can only sustain 60fps for really short bursts, which is disappointing. They have the ability to rewind...sometimes. I find it breaks often and then only can rewind to where you started the stream??? It's also gotten progressively worse on what's available on archive for their shows. They used to have months and months of previous episodes of things like Misplays of the Month but gave up on doing that this year.

NHL Live is the best of the bunch. Rock solid 60fps on any game, pausing and rewinding is great, recaps are up quickly. The only downside is that you need a VPN to watch Flames local broadcasts, or you're stuck going back to Sportsnet Now.

If the OP is going to the US, pay $15 for ESPN Plus for one month. I'm down here and have zero issues with accessing home or away broadcasts, can access from phone/tablet/smart TV, and haven't had any sort of clarity or quality issues... I've been very happy since ESPN took over the streaming services for NHL in the US.

Anyone know a way to watch, uh, Mario Lemieux on an Apple TV?

i rarely use the streaming sites - only when i can't get the flames feed. how they don't offer both feeds for the canadian teams with centerice is beyond ridiculous!
My son will watch downstairs in his room on the SNNow app and I'll watch upstairs on my TV. I'll hear him cheering for Flames goals a good 10-15 seconds before I see the goal...

Even both TVs in my house are out of sync. The main TV upstairs is 4 or 5 seconds behind the TV in the basement rec room.

I always thought streaming was the delayed compared to cable or are you both streaming?

Like literally twice as good.

iPhone safari Lemieux site and then airplay to Apple TV?

I actually have bell Fibe and when I’m using my laptop I have often switched to Mario Lemieux cause it just streams better for whatever reason.

I know it’s not related to OP’s question, but just wanted to chime in to say that TSN Direct on Apple TV is absolute trash. Weird GUI, serious volume problems, replays options were limited and took too long to appear and probably the biggest problem of all, no rewind capability. Just a really weak counterpart to Sportsnet Now which is superior without a doubt.

SN Now may not be perfect, but it’s infinitely better than TSN Direct IMO.

Anyone have a Mario Lemieux style site for other sports? Namely the NFL draft right now?

For those who have Sportsnet Now, is NHL Live included with your subscription for free?
