IMO top guns weren't all there tonight. One where they just weren't clicking or really deadly around the net. It felt strange because I'm so used to seeing them be much more noticeable.

The team structure was still solid as they limited the Avs as well as the Avs limited them at even strength.

Some issues on the PK the last couple games though.

Mangiapane cooled off. Could've used a big goal of his tonight. We need him. I hope his goal wasn't just to eclipse 30 then just coast it out.

Really wanted to plant some doubt into Kuemper's head... ugh, oh well.

Hard-fought game between two great teams. Our PK let us down though. Hopefully they get a chance to work on it before next game.

Avs are a well oiled machine and are undoubtedly the Cup favorites this year. They're gonna be a very tough out in the post season.

They are the best team in the league.

This applies if you compare them to anyteam

Calgary is actually one of the few teams that can match up in all aspects to some degree.

Colorado's achilles heel is health and their PK. If they are healthy and win the special teams battle (Like they did tonight) they are virtually unbeatable

There is no way this Avs team hangs around with us until game 6 or 7.

Big line did nothing. Andersson & Zadorov were terrible.

I think we match up well with the Avs. I look forward to a long series should we meet them in the playoffs.

Colorado got pretty lucky this game, don't let past heartbreak skew reality. Next one

If anything, this game made me more confident in the Flames ability to match up well in the playoffs against Colorado.

The Flames took more than a pound of flesh, I could see that adding up in a playoff series if our scoring also shows up. I like our depth up front and on the backend.

Specialty teams need to be a lot better though.

I thought that was pretty evenly played game. I'm not discouraged at all.

Hoping tonight's result got the inevitable, heartbreaking, series-clinching 2-1 loss out of the way for the rest of the season now.

Smebody get infront of the goalie and try taking his eyes away. Lots of volume of shots but relatively simple night for Kuemper. Way to many guys peeling off to the side when shots are coming from the point giving Kuemper a clear view of the puck.

Top guys didn’t look super crisp and that was the difference. That is a really good team over there but I’m not calling them unbeatable at all.

I did expect Flames to try and make statement tonight but not to be.

Should we meet them in the third round, this result will have been utterly meaningless.

Come a long way since then!

Yeah. He hasn't seemed like quite the same player over the past 5-6 games as he's been throughout the season prior to that. Hopefully he can pick it up again here soon.

It’s very impressive that you come up with these brilliant observations, ONLY when the Flames lose.

Even more impressive is that you have your head up your….. while observing.

Is there a reason you only post when the Flames lose?

They outshot them 45-30 and lost 2-1

Game could have gone either way obviously
