Flames have struggled against weaker opponents of late, and for some reason these teams always seem to get Vezina-level goaltending when they play us. Hopefully that isn't the case tonight.

I haven't minded Monahan lately, I think hes been solid. Not what he was of course but not scratch worthy
Monahan - Carpenter - Lewis is what it should be.

Besides Ritchie I like those lines. I’d rather have Lewis in than him. And Looch needs to wake up a bit. Other than that I like it. GFG!

Arizona seems like the perfect opponent for Vladar. Darryl sure has been unconventional handling the goaltenders this season. Can't say it hasn't worked or anything but I always thought that division games were always highest priority in his mind.

Vejmelka was pretty stellar the last game they played the Flames in February. It ended 4-2 but really it should have been a blowout.

Thats a brutal take. Yeah he lost his temper but every player in the league knows you don't shoot the puck in the net after the whistle and that was way after the whistle. Any goalie in the league would do the same thing there and I'll take that penalty from Markstrom any day. Also he didn't react later when he was hacked at a bit or in scrums so he cooled off and moved on. Sure he didn't have a great game but I don't believe it's because of what happened on that play.

Lewis is not a center, at least he didn't play a center at all this season. My bet is on Dube centering a line tonight.
Most likely line-up(in my opinion):
Gaudreau - Lindholm - Tkachuk
Coleman - Backlund - Lewis
Mangiapane - Jarnkrok - Toffoli
Lucic - Dube - Ritchie

Carpenter is probably taking extra practice today to get to know the system more. I can almost guarantee either him or monny will be center on 4th line tonight.
