Helleson is a pretty good prospect. Add in 2nd. This is a big overpay for a rental 3rd pairing guy. Colorado is hurting on D right now, but they should be healthy come playoffs. They already have a good cushion in the standings, not like they need the improvement on defense for the regular season.

Pretty much exactly what they needed on the back end.

Manson is a 2nd pairing guy on most teams in the league.

He adds some snarl to a team that needs it. They don't want to be dressing MzcDermid in playoff games, and now they don't need to.

Damn did Manson ever cost the Ducks though...basically gave Shea Theodore away to keep him in the fold. Bob Murray should have been fired for that, let alone allowed to hang around and abuse the ever living hell out of his staff as a belligerent drunkard for the last 5 years.
