Lots of oldies, but goodies there including ring-a-ding-dong-dandies like Ed Whalen and Jim Van Horne!

That's some career. Any other execs been upstairs since the 70s?

Cliff Fletcher is a senior advisor for the Leafs. Probably emphasis on senior there. He was a scout for the Canadiens....in 1956.

Jim Devellano is the Red Wings VP of Hockey Operations, so more than a ceremonious role like Fletcher probably is closer to. He was a scout for the inaugural season of the Blues before eventually becoming GM of Detroit in 1982.

my uncle (now deceased) blamed Cliff for not getting his fair shake with the Habs at some point. I know he was a good hockey player but of course I don't know the actual truth in all of it- tough to crack a 6 team league, esp the Habs, this would have been early 60s, maybe late 50s

TIL that Jim Van Horne's name is actually David Melnyk. I didn't know he called Flames games so I checked him out on on Wikipedia and found that fun fact.

That was my first car. It was about 20 years old when I got it and was solid enough to take me to the mountains every weekend for a couple of years. Bought it for a dollar from a relative. I have fond memories of that car, and holy #### am I ever old now.
