I'd prefer Nashville over Dallas, so I don't know if that's a good thing?

Why exactly are we excited about Nashville losing

Also opens the door a little more for the No Goods.

Unless they’re playing the flames I have no problem cheering for Seattle. They have gio, love the jerseys/nautical theme and they aren’t an irritating instant success a la the golden knights. Like the city as well.

Their win helped the Oilers though

In some ways you're right, it does help the Oilers chances. Still, the standings are tight with the Kings, Knights, Predators, and Stars are just 5,6, and 7 points back of the Flames respectively. A short losing streak by the Flames could have them close to 8th place in the western conf. We want any team that is close to the Flames to lose which will help the Flames playoff chances.

St. Louis losing bumped the flames up to 2nd in conference, now winning the tie breaker

Not likely. For this to happen would also require several teams winning all their games at the same time. The Flames are far enough ahead late enough in the season for it not to matter what Central teams on the bubble are doing. It is much better to focus on whatever pushes the Oilers out of the playoffs, and on whatever keeps LA and VGK in the #2-3 slots.

Games over .500

For example, Calgary is 32-14-6, so 18 games over

The Sabres had the veteran Craig Anderson in net and he made 29 saves. Mrazek didn't have a great game as he let in all 5 goals. The 3rd period was wide open as the shots were 16-13 for the Sabres. There were only 3 penalties all game.

Panarin and Fox each had 3 points in the Rangers win. The PK for New York was perfect at 3/3. The win puts the Rangers 6 points back of the 1st place Hurricanes in the east.

The Stars scored all of their goals and had 22 shots in the 2nd period in the win. The Kings also scored twice in that period.

The Kraken were the spoilers as they defeated the Predators. The Kraken can score SHGs, Blackwell had one. The Predators only had 3 shots on net in the 3rd period and had no penalties called on them all game.
