The Flames got screwed hard by the refs tonight. I didn’t think they even played that badly until they were down by 3, then the wheels fell off a bit. Demko played extremely well and the Canucks made the most of their opportunities, but if this game was called anywhere even close to fair, it’s probably a one goal game either way.

Once in an epoch, a circus of a game comes along, so unbelievable, you'll be scrubbing your eyes out with steel wool by the end of it to make sure you're not just seeing things.
Ladies and gents...
This was that game.

Andersson scores five hole when Demko didn’t have a stick and it’s a different game.

And a blatant stick-hold on Lucic and somehow he got penalized. New penalty I think, Over-zealous Attempt to Reacquire your Stick.

yeah refs were not the reason the Flames lost ,at all (although like any game the narrative could have gone differently had calls gone either way but that's hockey) but you'll never seen a series of events as outlined above again. not for a while anyways

Crap game; but the Canucks arena entertainment is pretty good - kept me watching. Great game for the rivalry; can’t wait till the next one.

So, the play by play or colour guy, idk which one, mumbled something about a misconduct. Did someone get a misconduct at the end there after the Gaudreau incident?

It's been exactly four weeks since the last loss. It's been a fun month.
Certainly some things to clean up there but I think there's going to be an us-against-the-world lesson coming out of this one which hopefully will make the team even stronger.

I stopped watching after 3-0 but games like this are why I had to take a break from the NHL after the series against the Ducks where an obvious highsticked goal was counted.
The officiating tonight was a complete disaster and it helped set the tone for the game. Those three missed calls on the Canucks on one shift were absolutely ridiculous.

Yeah I think Looch got one from the bench.
*Yes, he did. Looch got a misconduct 2 minutes after Johnny

They did say Gaudreau got the misconduct since he wasn’t on the bench. They did point towards the bench, to show that. Though he might have gone off due to injury.
Lucic got something after the Mangiapane incident

Or slides it to Lindholm gliding backdoor unmarked and continues his streak and ties the game.

Gaudreau and Looch got tossed
I probably would have been arrested if I was on the ice. Players showed restraint

Even before that, the Canucks absolutely mauled several Flames before Monahan’s penalty. Players all over the ice and then moments later the Flames get a penalty. You saw the Flames losing coming from the last couple of games, but man, the game seemed inevitable without the refs calling everything one way.

There are games like this. For every team. Just a whole lot went wrong in a short period of time. This game could have easily gone the other way.

The whole team should have forced them to give them one. Every player should have lined up in front of Jake Brenk and told him to go %^*# himself.
This was legitimately the worst officiated game I’ve seen in the post-04/05 lockout era.
