Go Flames.
It is just so hard to take anything that happened last year seriously, so I wouldn't read much into it.

This will be the Flames 49th game this year. Has there been even one game where the Flames were missing more regulars than the other team? That can't all be luck.
The Flames have seen consistently few man-games lost to IR for several years now. I have come to think that this is not a fluke, especially with how an injury plagued player like Chris Tanev has thrived here and stayed healthy.

It's finally happened: That Darn Puppet has wound up in therapy.

Either by choice, family intervention or court order, he's under the care of a clinic professional.

What are the secrets to his obsession? What led him down this path? Do we really want to know? Will the cure be worse than the sickness???

Spoiler!

Not sure how I feel about this given their propensity for letting Monny play with a litany of injuries

I look forward to these more than MCU movies. The puppet's madness > Multiverse of madness.

I'm thinking this is a game where our scoring depth comes in handy and locks in that 10th W in a row!

Haven't had a good afternoon game in a quite a while. Go Flames!

So much of this responsibility resides with the player. Unless players are honest about their own health and playing condition there is nothing the team can do. Monahan strikes me as the kind of guy who will attempt to play through anything, and to quietly endure it.

Was it coaching? I think Sutter is letting Monahan heal up, he still puts him out there on the PP where he doesn't look out of place.

Much easier playing on the third line vs the first and facing the opposition's top checkers. Especially where Monahan plays and scores from, in front of the net and taking a beating.

MAXIMUM JUJU POST

https://streamable.com/npf0 <-- Make sure you click this link. It's a classic. If I could figure out how to embed a streamable I would do it.

Ok. So. Six times the Juju has worked. Am I a superstitious freak? Yes. Am I going to continue with the MAX JUJU until it stops working? Also yes. Tonight we tie the franchise record at 10!!!!!!

For the first time in 3 or so years, I am actually going to the dome to see this big game.

Hope I can remember how to drive down there

Afternoon games are always weird, but the way the team is playing, I think we will be fine. Franchise record tying streak around the corner.

If Ritchie does draw in, it is not a big deal. He is suited for a fourth line role, and you need to keep all the players involved, in any case.

A Flames win today would tie the franchise winning streak of 10, established in 1978, by the Atlanta Flames, and tied by 2016/17 Calgary Flames.

Side note, a victory today would pass the Oilers franchise record of 9.

I would imagine it has a lot to do with the lack of time to practice on the PP with all of the games since his arrival.

Gah, still wish Ritchie was our 17th forward.

If we ever needed a 7th line, he'd be amazing, I'm sure.

I like Brett Ritchie.

Good dude, gets to pucks quickly, always finishes his checks. Nothing wrong with having him on the roster and taking the odd turn on the fourth line.

I think he was over cast in a third line role so glad that's rectified, but I like what he brings most nights.

When you dig in he's the perfect fourth line guy ... First on the team (for forwards) in xGA60 and 8th on the team for CA60.
