I'm sometimes a little conflicted with Zegras. On the one hand, my hate for the Ducks make me not like cheering for their prospects to do well, but on the other hand, my hate for the Oilers makes me love the fact they passed on a potential star forward for a meh dman.

Ah, who am I kidding. My hate for the Oilers is so much stronger, I'm honestly loving seeing Zegras turn into a superstar while Broberg hopefully turns into another Griffin Reinhart lol.

Should the unthinkable happen today and the Flames lose, the Ducks will overtake the Oil

At this rate it seems like a forgone conclusion that Vegas, Calgary, and Edmonton will be the teams representing from the pacific.

I still have faith the Oilers will collapse and miss.

Of course they will. E=NG. It is immutable.

It would be much more satisfying if they limped in and we could cave them in round 1. But, I will accept abject failure.

I don't want to get ahead of myself but am I the only one that thinks our D core is the best it's been in at least a decade? The balance of each pairing is so even, guys make their share of blunders but as a whole, I feel like it's so balanced.

Even in recent years you would have Gio/Brodie and then everyone else. Now each pairing gets deployed to any matchup.

Our forward lines are pretty darn balanced now as well. In 18/19 a lot of guys had career years but as a whole I felt our team overachieved. This season it feels like they are where they should be, doing what they should be. Maybe I'm just on cloud nine from our winning streak? I don't know. Feels good though.

Time for BBQ duck. Let's go!

It's crazy how, heading into the expansion draft and even at the start of the season with the signings people were pulling out their hair over how weak the D looked.

It’s completely backwards. Usually our D looks like one of the strongest in the league but never performs up to that level, (Brodie/Gio/Hamilton/Hamonic) even going back to when we got Bouwmeester. I’ll take it.

Not sure about that. The Oilers have a tough stretch of games coming up, let’s see where they are after that. I could see the Ducks passing them. The Oilers are quite bad.

I have a better plan... we win tonight, they (Ducks) win tomorrow night and they pass the Oilers tomorrow - win win.
