...wait, so the solution to a rudderless team is to bring in some rookie NHL coaches?

I'm sure McEgo and Crysaddle and Kane will take to a rookie NHL coach like champs...

Not a surprising move. Wish they had kept Tippet for a few more games though

MacTavish only had a few games, Nelson and Hitchcock finished out seasons, but it’s true.

This will make Oilers fans happy but you can't tell me Woodcroft is a better NHL coach than Dave Tippett. Their goaltending is terrible as is their blue line and I don't know how Woodcroft will fix that.

Tippett delivered the 2nd highest pts% of all time for Oilers coaches behind only Sather.

This is hilarious.

Damn. One day sooner and they could have had St. Louis.

So the last 7 coaches in Edmonton have lasted an average of 110 games.

That is not a recipe that will ever work.

In Edmonton every coach is an interim coach. They take the littlest hobo approach to coaching.

Say what you want about him but Tippett is very well respected around the league. We have to be getting to the point that top coaches will simply say no to Edmonton because it becomes a blight on their resumes.

Lol, and how many coaches have they gone through now with this roster? What a dumpster fire.

Edmonton is no good.
