Odd.)

At the risk of straying too far from hockey into graphic design, for those who remember the old cylindrical Heritage Fund grain hoppers some at the time thought they evoked the swastika as well:

You are really digging if you or anyone you talk to thought that resembled anything to do with Nazi flags.

Also, it is on gold, not white.

They could have made the gold brighter for sure though.

Yeah to me this looked like Chinese Calligraphy and a special lunar new year jersey.

Any type of Nazi symbolism is a stretch IMO

It is but I also get why it was seen, especially in the first picture with the way it was hung, and also if you didn’t realize/know it was lunar new year.

I make film sets for a living, and the times I’ve used a black red and white scheme for anything, someone almost always mentions the word Nazi. I agree it’s weird but the mind goes where it goes.

Would have been pretty easy to confirm what this is with a few clicks that would taken less time than making the new thread for it though.

The only way you get a hint of the impression is when they are hung like that in the dressing room...something about the lighting, too.

Individually or collectively on the ice there's nothing to see. Unless maybe they did the Nazi Salute during the anthem.

If you are not actually a devil, you shouldnt be allowed to play for the New Jersey Devils.

This is just more woke over reach for the ultra sensitive and people who wake up in the morning looking for things to be offended by and ways to spread their daily dose of hate around to others.

Seems like they missed the opportunity to roll with “Flag”.

Talk about looking for something to be offended about.

People see, hear, and read what they want all the time.

Even if what they want isn't really there.

Part of the human condition I guess.

The front of the has the word , means good fortune or blessing and then the NJ on top of it. Because it's the New Year, and color red associate with good luck or good fortune. I'm surprised if the jersey was designed by a Chinese designer, she didn't put the word upside down which in Chinese means good fortune arrived.

A lot of Chinese would tape or hang this by the door.

When I saw "New Jersey Devils release Ein Flagge" I though the Flames should pick him up on waivers.

Thought there was a player named Ein Flagge who was released after sharing Nazi images on Twitter.
