Flames really need to start stringing some wins together. Sadly, the stupid Oilers are only 2 points back now and lucked out this week with back-to-back games against the bottom feeder Habs and Senators. It would be incredibly embarrassing if they pass us in the standings.

I predict a 2-1 absolute thrashing victory over the Canucks. The level of skill and display will not be matched ever again. A victory of the ages in tales that will be passed onto our great grandchildren.

At least that's what I'd say if I was a dirt bag oilers fan.

2-1 Flames in a tight game. GFG.

But according to an Oilers fan I talked about a month ago on Twitter about who has had the tougher schedule the Oilers don't get to play those teams while 100% healthy like the Flames do so it doesn't count and they've had the much tougher schedule.

Honestly? That was my first instinct.

Big game, Calgary really needs 2 of the next 3 going into the break. I am going to say 3-0 Calgary. Ruzicka, Monahan and Backlund the goal scorers.

If it's your birthday, wouldn't you wish for a shutout? Unless you have some fantasy things going on

Darryl is likely just trying to keep Ruzicka's confidence up.

Any time Sutter talks, it is a good starting point to assume he means the opposite.

So funny how some fans haven't realized that yet. He's easily the most poker faced coach ever.

TBF, it was deflected IIRC.

But anyway, good on Sutter for not throwing him under the bus and for playing him - individual mistakes shouldn’t cause that unless repeated over and over. Overall poor play - sure.

Yup, keep giving Ruzicka time to get rolling, there's obviously something there, just have to water it. Like a plant.

I know it, its still funny to point it out

Like "Vladar hasn't won for a month"

when he hasn't played...lol

Guy who give the other team the puck and the absolute prime scoring position isn't responsible for the goal

He's either telling the exact truth, almost a tautology, a re-phrasing of the question, or totally misleading, and he sounds identical doing either. It's wonderful.

Home game. Former team. I think it's a very likely bet.
