Could be turned into good motivation for the team. Win the next 2!

More of the Coleman from this game for the rest of the season please and thanks.

That Lomberg goal at the end of the second was unfortunate, and seemed to seal the Flames fate.
Yup. Markstrom had made 20 saves in that period alone. Unfortunately, the 21st shot got past him — a high danger chance to be sure.

Florida’s a good, deep team as we saw tonight. Excited for the rematch on the 18th, although I can’t say I’m optimistic it will actually happen as scheduled.

Not mad 48 shots is impressive Flames. Still easy to cheer for and entertaining.

Didn't Panthers blew out Lightning 9-3 one game and got blown out by the Devils 7-3 in another? Yes, they are a good team but not unbeatable. The Flames just didn't play Flames hockey tonight. You can't win them all, on to Tempa and play angry Flames hockey.

I would like them to replace him in the roster. I want him to do well because he's a Flame but it seems like he's just taking up a roster spot and not doing much.

Well that didn’t go so well.

Gaudreau looks faster than I’ve ever seen him.

Nice to see Coleman score.

Next!

I wonder if the Flames got off their game slightly when Gudas tried checking Gaudreau in the neutral zone in the 1st. After that event Calgary was running around a bit and maybe let their emotions stray from the game plan. I don’t think Sutter was strategizing at 100 shot track meet with the leagues top offensive talent but I respect the Flames for having the confidence to attempt to out hustle, out check, and out chance the Panthers. Very entertaining game and I bet they learned a little bit about themselves they can tweak to be better in the next rematch.

I'm not too upset. I think if things had bounced a little differently earlier in the game and some errors not made, the Flames could have come out with a win.

Most of our losses have been when Markstrom is obviously outplayed by the other goalie. May just be a measure of how good our skaters have been.

Markstrom kept them in the game during the second period. The late goal in that same period was the dagger.

A bit disappointing but hopefully they learn from this. Bob has only lost once at home this year and the Panthers are really confident there. Over to Tampa and see what we can do.

It was a good game by the Panthers and they do look and play like a good team.

Flames still outshot them 49-45 which is a lot of shots for both teams.

Sergei Bobrovsky was pretty solid. I thought Jacob Markstrom played okay as well although a couple of those goals seemed a bit soft. So maybe we'll see Vladar next game, I think he's out of covid protocol.

Good to see some secondary scoring from Blake Coleman, would have been nice to see a goal from Dube, Mangiapane and Monahan too. I do agree we need to upgrade our depth.

Panthers 2/3 on the PP, interesting looking at the +/- of the Flames forwards and only Mangiapane and Dube at -2 and Ritchie but that was his first game back I believe.

Top line a +1.

I think we'll see a bounce back game against Tampa.

Flames stood around too much and watched the Panthers skate and rather than push back started giving pucks right back to the other team. Too many wild and sloppy passes, they didn't play as a team. There is no way they should have let the 4th goal happen, they were just ready to end the period and head to the dressing room, while the Pathers stayed a, played that full 20 minutes. The Panthers did what the Flames usually do to other teams and forced them to cough up pucks. Tonight the Flames let the Panthers dictate and were sloppy and it cost them. We are a lot better than we showed and we can beat these Panthers.

Face it, Florida is FAST and it turns out it's hard to NOT to get into a track meet/shoot out with those guys.

It was a measuring stick game for the team, and that measuring stick showed this Flames team is a tier below.

I’m disappointed that former flames got in the way of current flames getting us more yanet and ATL and win GIFs.

Not upset over this loss- flames are a good team that needs to stick to their game. Florida was better- to go from Seattle/hawks to this calibre of team, maybe playing too loose?
