It would also be nice if they could find a spot for last night's game against Winnipeg. It looks like the Jets have a bunch of gaps in their schedule now.

They could also tack on another game to the end of this trip to make up either the Chicago or Nashville games. Both Chicago and Nashville have games on the 8th and 11th, so they could squeeze something in on the 10th.
I think they'll continue to squeeze in games in US cities and wait for home dates in Canada until restrictions lift.

If they let the Canadian teams host games the hit on HRR would force the cap down next season.

Well now they can figure it out with plenty of games to try to kick that home ice monkey to the curb.

Cap isn't linked anymore, but it would certainly changed their projections of when the players' "loan" will be paid off.

Neutral site games could be interesting, but there are so many moving parts, and extra costs in having both teams on the road.

Kansas City or Hartford at least wouldn't have NBA conflicts. Not sure how many tickets you could sell on short notice, especially without any kind of local hook. Not sure the Tkachuks would resonate enough in KC, and I don't think there has ever even been an NHLer from the Kansas side.

If the new Palm Springs arena were open it might actually be a decent option (only 10k seats)...players certainly wouldn't mind and you might get enough fans just interested in the new building. San Diego is bigger and the Gulls draw pretty well. Hershey

More realistically, they could probably slot the Flames road NAS game on Jan 9th or 10th since we are in CAR on the 7th...but they'd need to announce that yesterday.

I dont think thats a coincidence and Im not sure how that conflicts with Sureloss' post.
It's that some of the all canadian games are PPD and some aren't. Why the inconsistency there?

Wonder what they will do when they run out of options if local canadian juristictions don’t change their restrictions.

Relocate teams to the US for the remainder of the season?

Go into the playoffs playing 19 games in 31 days? That was what the Canucks had last year .. without the playoff part.
