I'd be a lot more worried if the Flames were getting spanked by teams every night and putting in terrible efforts. But that's just not the case here at all. They're playing good hockey, skating hard, forechecking well, and generating plenty of chances. They're just not burying any of them. Just seems like they're gripping their sticks too tight.

I believe they'll work themselves out of it, hopefully starting on Monday against the Hawks.

This team is in disarray . For you guys to “ we are still in first place “ you’re totally oblivious to the situation

Why does it seem like every goalie we're facing is putting up amazing performances?

Markstrom had an off night. I feel like he needs to keep in the flow of the game. Games we overly dominate on shots we seem to lose more then we should.

I don't know if I'm just making him my whipping boy but it seems every time I notice Andersson he's floundering. Before this year, he was one of my favourites on this team so I don't think I'm being too harsh on him he seems to just really be off.

Still not all that depressed about what I'm seeing in the games. It was a rough night but again I feel they deserved a better fate.
I am somewhat growing in my concern the fears about goal scoring and finishing which we had at the start of the season, are really coming to fruition.

They are in a scoring slump...have had the hardest schedule in the league and still outplay the other team every game.

Dumbest post of the night.

The Flames outplayed their opponent.

We aren’t getting the results we want, but if you keep outplaying the other team, wins will come.

Flames had an abysmal night in a few ways:

- passing was poor; they keep trying to force passes on the PP when one (or two) guys are clearly between the passer and his target. That's just dumb hockey.

- D was in complete disarray too often

- forwards were unable to generate traffic in front of the net and when they did, shots from the blue line were blocked 10' from the shooter; closer-in shots were almost all directly at the goalie

- and the fumbling with the puck, falling over everything...yah the ice was crappy, but the Bruins managed

No attention to detail tonight and nobody can blame the refs. Well Boston could. I thought some of the PPs the Flames got tonight were a bit "generous".

I dislike our PP setup. It's basically the anti-setup to how every truly dangerous PP (Tampa, Washington, Colorado, Edmonton) works. For some reason Gaudreau and Lindholm hate playing their offside in the PP.

Or maybe we’re just not going to panic and write the team off because of a bad week? Oblivious to the situation? What? They’re in 1st place. That’s the situation.

Disarray lol they outplayed the other team in 3/4 of the losses.

I think you might be the one who is a bit oblivious.

Bruins didn't do much...they got a couple gifts and some high level goaltending.

Amazing thread.

What if I told you we can technically dominate a game but still play like crap.

Not cool, Bruins. You ruined Milan Lucic night.

Bruins didn't *need* to do much. They got given the puck in the right places and put it the net when that happened.

Outplayed? Not so much....having control but being unable to do anything with it is NOT outplaying the other team. They didn't go to the greasy areas enough and they stayed (more or less) away from the hitting game. So how did they "outplay" Boston? Sorry - I just don't see it other than in a few ineffective ways - like above - time with the puck, with zero effect. 3 wasted power plays and Monny cancelled another.

Doubt they hate it, they play where the PP coach tells them to, I've been clamoring for Gaudreau as the RW for 3 years now.
