He had a very good career, and a pretty long one. A lot of goalies are done at 35 without major injuries. Even Kiprusoff retired at 36 and was pretty shaky that last year.

There’s 9 guys older than him playing right now. He played 413 games, Kiprusoff played 624… about 1/3 more.
I have no doubt in my mind that based on the quality of play Bishop was able to reach, if not for injuries he’d be playing well into his late 30s and would easily flirt with 600 games. He might be 35, but he hasn’t played since he was 33. It’s a great career cut short, no doubt about it.
