Taylor Hall has been completely invisible in this game.

Tarts with a 3-1 lead, can they keep it up for 25 more minutes?

The Stars are excelling on their power play. All three of their goals have come on the PP. It is 3-1 Stars midway through the second period.

I haven’t been impressed with him as a Bruin even last year.

Meltdown by Dallas. Seguin missed an empty net (a golden opportunity) to put the Stars up by 3, misses, seconds later Vegas scores to get within one. And they continued to roll, Vegas wins 5-4.

No, because of his career. Is this a serious question?

Yeah it is, I don't think he is proven to be elite...he took stacked teams and choked in the playoffs for the most part of his career

A slight coach bump for Vancouver doesn't mean he is elite

Elite coaches win something IMO

He won 4 straight division titles. His coaching record speaks for itself. Something like 550 wins and 300 losses. That is elite.

Playoffs he hasn't done great but still went further than any Calgary coach since 04 several times.

It's not a slight bump. He is one of the best coaches in the league and a much better coach than Travis Green.

Edit: he won 4 straight division titles 2 times in his career with 2 different teams.

slight bump meaning 2 games

He won those division titles with a top 3 roster in the league...and zero cups. Those teams would have done well in the regular season with anyone half decent.

Calgary's coach has won 2 cups FYI...3 if we are being real all with so-so rosters...obviously he is better than GG and the other Flames coaches since 04 that doesn't make you elite lol

If BB wants to be considered elite he needs to win something IMO

Nobody saying Darryl isn't elite. That's silly. Also he won 4 straight division titles with Washington and Anaheim. Not a coincidence. He's a great coach. 2nd best coach imo in the league right now behind Sutter.

Was Iginla not elite because he didn't win in the playoffs?

I strongly disagree, he would have gotten a job sooner if that were the case.

Iginla isn't an elite coach either

Look at those Washington and Anaheim teams FFS, full of stars. Lets see how many division titles he wins in Vancouver.

He is better than Green but not elite IMO

This isn't a Canucks hate thing, I am on record many times here saying I didn't want BB because I think he is very over rated because of the teams he has coached. Vancouver will get short bump here and go back to sucking balls IMO.

Re: the Mackinnon hit. Is there any possible way to avoid making some contact with the head when Mackinnons head is that far down? How can Trouba avoid his head when it’s buried in the centre of his chest looking for the puck? He would’ve had to let him walk through and score cause no other bodily contact would’ve prevented people from saying “point of contact was the head”.

I know the Islanders are garbage this year but I'm sorry, Barry Trotz doesn't lose the crown that quickly. Gallant probably deserves to be in the conversation as well.

Barry Trotz is definitely in the conversation. Great coach. Gallant? 0 chance.

Does he even have a .500 coaching record?

Canucks and Oilers playing all their games at home lately while the Flames grind through three straight extended road trip.

Tell me this scenario flips soon.
