Edmonton in the West in regulation: 11 wins 4 losses. Edmonton is mowing down the chasing teams in the west.
Like it or not Edmonton is a major challenge/event with the McDavid / Draisaitl show that the rest of the West have considered elite from the start of the season along with the Avs, VGK , Wild and Stars . These teams were expected to have a good chance to come out of the West and play in the SCF. Not my personal analysis but the betting odds at the start of the season
The Flames were 22 to one odds at the start and have moved to 8.5 to one. Oilers started at 10.5 to one and have moved to just under 7 to 1
The Flames might have won some games where the opposition was not fully prepared to for the game the Flames were playing. That will not happen going forward.
