He is the reason I became a Flames fan. The man was a force! And then he turned out to be a stellar person! Miss ya Iggy.

Vancouver's favorite flame after what he did for Linden in that last game
The cameras catching Linden telling Iginla that hes the best player in the game, and then when Iginla was asked what was said in the post game interview he avoided the question, didnt wanna boast about himself when he totally should have
One of the most respected players to ever play for sure

As much as we know and love him for what he did in Calgary, the HHOF also recognizes Olympic achievements, and he was instrumental in Canada’s gold medals in 2002 and 2010.

Hes on my Mount Rushmore of athletes. As a player he was great but an even better human being.

Not 100% sure of how it works but I don't think the members elected in 2020 were ever officially inducted yet because of covid

Hopefully they televise the little ceremony that is before the Leafs/Flames game on Friday, I think I read they plan on having the inductees out on the ice.
Well, I hope it's on youtube at least, since Sportsnet will probably be showing Edmonton highlights instead

Will be hard to top Iginla's importance in Flames history. He was the guy who led this team out of what was looking like an endless purgatory of being a non-playoff team.

Or even just Canadian hockey fans. Steve Dangles named his dog Iggy.
