Well aside from the rampant racism and misogyny. Now I have no issue calling them the greatest generation given what they lived through and accomplished, but they had their issues the same as every other generation

That Regiment's list of Battle Honours is scary: Sicily, Ortona, Liri Valley, Hitler Line, Gothic Line, Lamore Crossing, Rimini Line, and Apeldoorn.

Ortona alone is reason to #### your pants.

Your Grandpa sounds like the type of fella that wouldn't want people to be mourning him, rather he seems like the type of guy that would want to celebrate life.
