he would have beaten the Oilers but they had to get cute

Flames were winning no matter who was in goal

Not that I want the Kings to keep winning as much as they are, but it sure doesn’t bother me much to see them punch the leafs and their fans in the mouth at home

5-1?

Brace for Tkachuk + Mangiapane for leafs junk trade proposals.

Nice to see the laffs lose - but I would have liked to see Nylander or Iafallo score - so much for my Tims picks.

At least the kid won a week of coffee (yay Strome)!

My fear is that the California teams might not suck for as long as we would ideally like / they deserve to. Turnaround time may be short particularly in LA who are swimming in young talent.

Jesus.
The West might be better than we think this year.

Of all the teams in the west that have been bottom feeders for the last few years (LA, Anaheim, San Jose, Phoenix, Chicago)… I think LA is poised to come out of it the earliest. Lots of great young players in the system plus a potential star player in Byfield if he realizes his potential.

But I still think Anaheim and especially San Jose have yet to hit bottom.

Edit: it's over. Crazy finish to this one. Panthers were down 4-0 heading into the 3rd and almost tied it up.

Final shots 45-18 for the Panthers. Many of those were very, very tough saves for Shesterkin. He flat out stole this one.
How long are Bobrovsky and Bennett out?

Looks like Bennett just a product of their system and players.

At least that's what I'm led to believe.

I didn't watch the game but here are some Panthers fans comments that don't seem to jive with your assessment

It was good to see the stinkin' Leafs getting embarrassed again on national television.

Ovechkin does score a goal to tie Brett Hull for fourth place on the all time goal list. The Capitals won 5-3.

I don't mind LA winning. Anything to keep VGK out of the playoffs.

It was Nestle Quick vs. Campbell's Soup and chocolate milk won. Quick made 33 saves in the Kings win and his former teammate only made 24 saves for the Leafs. Danault had 3 points and the Kings owned the faceoffs. The only bright spot for the Leafs was 3/3 on the PK.

The Rangers were barely able to hang on for their win over the Panthers. Cali Panthers, you're right, Shesterkin totally stole this one. Wow, he was a stud in net. The shots were 34-10 for Florida in the 2nd and 3rd periods. Adam Fox scored a nice SHG late in the 1st period for the Rangers. Panarin had a goal called back because of goalie interference in the crease.

Kuznetsov and OV each had 3 points and the 2 assists by OV gets him to 600 career assists.
