*GASP* The Jets tied the game in this battle of wills they are having with the AHL roster that is playing in SJ uniforms.

The Jets lose. That's embarrassing.

This is very, very Oilers.

That feller is a poser.

Yup and still the only thing they can do is score on the PP. Completely useless 5 on 5.

Yep. Oilers up 2-0 on 2 PP goals. Vancouver hasn't even had a PP yet. Why would we expect anything different?

It's almost scripted at this point. As per usual, that garbage team is all smoke and mirrors. It's working for them now against sub-par competition, but they're in for a shock once they start playing better teams.

Looks like the refs in Vancouver are going to go a whole game without finding a foul committed by the leagues little darlings.

That is why the NHL should not be allow 1600h Pacific start times on Saturdays for west coast home games. The crowd would have been larger if it was at 1900h Pacific. The problem is that Roger's did not want to have three games in that timeslot.

The Blackhawks playing hang on against the Blues almost worked. Krug scored the only goal of the game midway through the third period on the power play as the Blues won 1-0 in regulation. Fleury was in net for Chicago and played his best game so far this season making 36 saves in the loss. From the NBC Sports link, "The Blackhawks dropped to 0-7-2 to set a franchise record for the worst start to a season. Chicago was winless through eight games in 1953-54, when they were 0-7-1, and 1999-00, when they were 0-4-4."

It is really nice to have two games going on in the second half of the HNIC doubleheader and it should happen more often. It was a nuclear meltdown on the Canucks radio post game show. Callers wanting Travis Green fired and blasting Pettersson.

Eric Gustafsson with a classic hip check last night. You don't see these kinds of hit often these days.

Nice work, Gus! That's something I'd like to see more players do. Effective, legal, and no more violent than necessary.
