The Ducks have proven that a 3 goal lead is a dangerous one. For the second consecutive game the Ducks have rallied from a three goal deficit to get a point. This time they were down 4-1 midway through the third period and then scored three goals in 5:11 to tie it up at 4-4. The Knights did win, but, in the shootout. The Knights had no minor penalties called against them. The Ducks had three penalties called against them and killed them all off successfully.
The Coyotes had their rookie goalie in net against the Capitals. Karel Vejmelka played well in the Coyotes 2-0 loss, he made thirty saves.
