I feel confident with either goalie right now.

Will be interesting to see if we swap some defenseman (Stone or Zadorov or both) or a forward (is Richardson healthy) on a back to back, or if we keep the lineup the same.

If we can split these last two games I'd call that an extremely successful road trip.

Who would of thought that Gudbranson would be way better than Zadorov..

I even saw one shift where Gudbranson brought the puck up and dangled a little bit out of the defensive zone..
I couldn't believe my eyes last night he looked Gud.

He's looked good in all the games. Colour me shocked I was in the camp of another sucky reclamation project. Still early, but credit due here to Tre and management, so far so good.

Makes sense to put Vlad in tonight, zadarov sure but only for valimaki not Kylington. Still early in the season and makes sense to use some fresh legs in a b2b. Give markstrom some rest after taking a collision last night and keep him fresh for the stretch run.

Zadarov either needs to play or get traded / waived. Too much cap tied up in a warm body, that cap space could be used to add a star player at/near the deadline.

4-2 Flames. Monahan 2 greasy garbage goals

Hopefully Vladar gets the start, I'd rather they didn't overplay Markstrom. Plus it would be good to keep Vladar fresh and build some confidence after his first win.

Edit: Subban has to be the most expensive bottom pair D in the league, yikes.

Can't imagine it'll be an issue. He signed a one year contract and is getting outplayed.

Should be easy to flip.

Not sure the team should care all that much. I'd much rather see Kylington come into his own than Zadarov get ice time. Unless an existing roster player's spot opens up, either due to injury or a major trade, I don't see why Zadarov should be given ice time for the sake of it.

If anything, I'd say a major flaw with the team right now is that the defence is not contributing enough to the offence. Zadarov in now way addresses that need.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was driving at. Might be a flip coming. Zadarov will not be happy sitting for long. He signed a 1 year deal hoping to cash in as a UFA next off season.

I agree with everything you say here pretty much.

As I said above though, he's going to start squealing pretty soon if he isn't getting to play.

I don't think any player is happy sitting for a long time. I don't know Zadorov on a personal level, but he doesn't strike me as the kind of individual that would complain if he feels he is getting outplayed by the other 6 D.

He seemed genuinely pumped for Lindholm's after the Washington game.

Flames grind out a 2-1 win. Chucky & Johnny the goal scorers.

Generally speaking, if one is in New Jersey you do your best to hide that you're there.
