Do we all agree that the picture quality on CBC/Snet is light years behind American broadcasts?
What a joke.
Honestly? No.
Though I watch on the direct streams, so maybe I'm getting a less crappy feed. But I literally compare both broadcasts when pulling highlights and there's usually no difference in the picture quality. The caveat being when the broadcast has the SN logo in the top right of the screen it's an inferior feed for some reason. That one also features the digital ads behind the nets, so maybe that's the cause of the degradation. It usually has dropped frames and audio skips too.
I would say if anything certain American broadcasts have their white balance and contrast levels off. Also American feeds tend to superimpose more ads on both the ice or the glass near the benches in comparison to SNET.
Yesterday's Dallas/LA game for example:

I dunno. The other day I was watching One Soccer on a 4K tv, then shortly after watched a CBC hockey broadcast and it seemed like a night and day difference.
The old NBC broadcasts seemed much clearer and brighter and less motion blur.

Oh I'm sure hockey broadcasts are inferior to other sports for sure.
But it's very very rare that there's any picture quality difference between American / SNET feeds of NHL games.
Jason Spezza is the only player on the Leafs I would keep at this point.
Marner needs to be moved before the fans boo him out of town.
Leaf fans would go mental at the small return Marner would garner. Only tradeable contract the leafs have (that they'd actually trade) is Nylander. Rielly too, technically, but no one will pay for a guy they can just sign on July.
Campbell has been great until this game. Leafs goalies have been fine. The problem is the same as the playoffs. The guys who demanded huge paydays aren't producing and even worse seem to not work for it. I hope they keep losing so they are forced to move Marner.
