I don't like the 4 lines, we can stack 3 lines, lets do that.
Ritchie on the 2nd is a waste. I thought Monahan was doing fine with the two young guys.

The Flames haven’t had a bad game yet, here’s to hoping they get another 2 points in regulation. I’ll be looking especially for progress from Kylington, Valimaki, Dube, and Pitlick. If the role players and young guns can push up in the lineup I think our top 3 will have to rise to the challenge and produce better on the PP.

Not safe to assume that at all. Darryl likes to ride the starter. Kept Markstrom in for several back-to-backs last season even though he was struggling.

The safer assumption may be that Darryl sees the next 2 as the most winnable and wants Markstrom in for both
Very interested to see how Vladar does and perhaps more importantly how the team plays in front of him

But this isn’t a shortened season like last year where the margin for error was smaller. They also clearly rode Markstrom too hard in the early part of the season and paid for it thru injury and declining play when he got back.
I see this sitting of Markstrom as more of a maintenance thing than anything else.
I don’t see him getting both games of the back to back.

Coming off a shutout with a back-to-back coming up.........I'm definitely surprised to see Markstrom sit. Excited to see Vladar play for the first time, though. Hope this doesn't backfire.
