Currently reading Knife of Dreams by Robert Jordan.. book 11 in the Wheel of Time series.
I'm not reading it because I think it's a good book.. frankly they've gotten pretty bad (or I've just grown up). But I started the series waaay back in my teens and have to know how it ends.

I started this series when there were only 3. I forget a lot of it now.
I heard that this one is supposed to be better than the last 2. I'm waiting until I see it in the bargain bin before I get it; I wasted too much money buying the last few the first week they were out.

State Of Mind, by John Katzenbach, only 15 pages in so I can't say if it's good or what, I just finished reading The Greatest Game Ever Played by Mark Frost it's about the 1913 U.S. Open, with Harry Vardon, Ted Ray, and Francis Ouimet, really good book I'd suggest reading it, Disney also just made a movie about it awhile ago, it coming out on video in February I think

Just finished:
Blink - Malcolm Gladwell (if you enjoyed The Tipping Point you will probably enjoy this... I did until the last couple chapters)
The Collapse of Globalism - John Ralston Saul
Currently reading:
State of Fear - Michael Crichton (its about the debate on global warming and environmental terrorists)
Canadian History for Dummies - Will Ferguson (I know its a 'for dummies' book but I really like the author)

That State of Fear book is possibly the worst book written in the last year. A more appropriate use would be for fire starting.

For study purposes I'm currently reading "Computer Confluence: Tomorrow's Technology and You"
Yes, it is as brutally dry and boring as it sounds

I don't think its that terrible. I wouldn't give it a shining recommendation so far either. The thing I find frustrating with Crichton is how I always get the impression that he is trying to write books that will be made into movies.
The one thing I do like is the amount of research he puts into his writing. There are footnotes all over the place citing studies from scientific journals.
I must admit that the characters are extremely weak and the plot is kind of hokey. Ugh, actually now that I put some thought into why you would think it was so bad I don't know if I'll be able to finish the damn thing.
Thanks a lot Hakan...

The ethics and professional standards portion for level 1 of the CFA. It's pretty boring but I'm almost on to quantitative methods, which is more to my liking.

I just read Phil Espositos book, loved it. Very interesting stuff about the whole situation on how Tampa got the Lightning and how close it came to not happening.

I wanna pick up Tommy Lee's biography. I dig reading about old rock star's wild lives based around sex, drugs and booze.

Have you read "The Dirt"? If not, read that instead. Tommy Lee is a blowhard clown. The one chapter in The Dirt that he seemed to kind of write himself is almost too much to handle. Actually it was too much too handle and I skipped over it. The book as a whole is good if you want to hear tales of debauchery, which is the only reason to read it. Not a lot of life lessons or insight coming from those guys, but funny stories for sure.
An entire book from Tommy Lee would contain hundreds of pages of him trying to be profound and nobody needs that.

Currently working on " Life of Pi" by Jan Martel. Doing so at the request of my sister who ranted and raved about it for weeks.
