Lanny didn't like the commemorative sculptures of his iconic cup-hoisting pose (some company was trying to hawk at the time). Wouldn't accept one from the mayor in front of city hall.

Knowing the way the Flames do these things, it would be a statue of Jim Peplinski wearing the '04 road jersey (which he never wore, and road version because why do something crazy like use the home "best-selling jsersey of all-time" version) with the flag shoulders added on from the jersey that we finally got rid of that everyone hated.
Not that I have anything against Pepper, but tell me picking him wouldn't be exactly what this org would do.
