This is really where the poll becomes more difficult and much more interesting. There are a bunch of players—Vladar, Kuznetsov, Stromgren, Mackey, Kinnvall, Heineman, Werner, Phillips, Ruzicka, Pettersen—in the mushy middle, here. A big difference this year I think from previous seasons is that "mushy middle" is much closer to the top of the prospect pool than it is to the bottom.

How many of those that pick a player that doesn't get graduated, even if it goes round after round ... stick with said player until he's the one? Or do you get bored and look elsewhere?
I went Stromgren ... guessing I'll have to do the same for three straight rounds.

Sometimes once I realize my pick has no chance I kind of look at it as a runoff. And choose a player that has a chance.
These votes aren’t life altering so I think it’s ok to be a little cavalier. Like that guy that insisted Klimchuk was our best prospect. I’m sure he stopped posting long ago.

Yeah, that's the thing.
You like a player, but clearly the collective disagrees, so do you keep choosing them or change? It sucks, and is kind of boring, to keep voting for the same player. But switching feels... wrong.
One way to avoid that feeling is to have tiers and/or groups of 3. If your horse is being ignored, it doesn't feel as wrong/defeatist to move to one of the other guys in your tier.

This is not the first time you have spelt his name wrong.
For shame, Textcritic!

Also, Stromgren is definitely one of the more intriguing players on the list. So many guys with exciting but raw skills this year (Stromgren, Heineman, Poirier, Kinvall, Jordan, Beck). I always feel like I need to see some progression before I bump them too high up the list though.

Usually pretty consistently. I have a list of where I think guys shake out and go off it, selecting BPA.

Depends on how strong my opinion is. There are times where it can be swayed when reading the rationale for why someone picked someone else.
In this stage there's a clumping of players that I don't have strong views on. I picked Mackey but could be Swayed to 3 or 4 others.
I try to set out a tentative order, but then I read the posts every round and occasionally change my pick if there is a player that has a better shot at winning and someone has made a good case for them.
So the Flames #5 best prospect will likely have the largest impact on the Flames 21-22 season.
As it currently stands Vladar is being defaulted 15-20 NHL starts this year with Markstrom getting 60-65 starts.
If he gets 50% or better win % the Flames will have a chance at the playoffs. If he goes lower than that say Ortio 2014-15 7-9-5 then the Flames likely don't make the playoffs.
11.5 cap left for Zadorov, Dube, Valimaki, Mackey and Kylington Will there be enough left for more than Vladar's 750K to back up Markstrom?
$12M to sign 6 more players. But there is also the possibility of trades.
So to answer your question: there may be enough money to sign another goalie, depending on what else happens, but personally, I doubt they do. I suspect Vladar will be the backup.

I went with Kinnvall since his totals are impressive, but his sudden offensive regression halfway through the season is somewhat troubling.
He suffered an injury and missed 1/3 or the season. Basically right before the 30 game mark IIRC. And only came back for a handful of games. The injury was an ankle or something of the sort.
Either way, he has my vote too. His floor is very high and he is basically a developed player who fits a team need, offensive minded right shot d man with high level skating.
