scouting all over the map

https://sports.mynorthwest.com/11132...rds-forwards/?

Lucas Ciona, LW (Last season: 53GP, 3G-10A-13Pts): A combination of size and skating ability allowed Ciona to flirt with top-six minutes early last year. His scoring should increase with more ice time this season. Like Uchacz, Ciona became a strong penalty killer and he just might have the skill set to be a net-front presence on the power play. He may be the strongest player on the club.

Stunned he was still on the board at 173. The prior 150 or so picks will be mad at themselves in a few years for not grabbing this guy

there was only 1 Hunter Smith, being over 6 feet and having skating issues does not equate the untalented pile of meat that is Hunter Smith

Hmmm 6th rounder, what should we expect? Size and some diverging opinions oh his skating is at least some minor intrigue. Agreed this is where we should pick these size types late. No more size over tangible skills so early with our assets is a good philosophy.

Sounds just like a good number of scouting reports for non 1st round picks where polar opposite opinions exist for very specific traits and abilities, lol.

"skating is brutal"
"skating is apparently really rough"
"skating stride is uuuuugly"

"a combination of size and skating ability"
"great skater"
"skates well enough to skate the puck out"

By the time Ciona ever gets a sniff of the NHL, Sutter will be long gone from coaching.
