[Trade] Pens trade Jared McCann to Leafs for Filip Hallander and a 7th

Now that the dust has settled, this is mccann’s fourth team (Vancouver/Florida/Pittsburgh/Toronto) which raises red flags. Tanev was in Vancouver when he was drafted there so he would have a handle on the player and I’m sure he would share his thoughts on him with management. Seems to wear out his welcome everywhere he goes so fine us taking a pass on him.

Fun fact: Pens drafted Hallander in 2018 and he was included in the trade with Toronto for Kapanen last year.

That’s a ridiculous deal for Toronto.

Flames should have been in on that even if it means exposing Backlund.

Is Hallander a touted prospect? McCann is a useful 2nd/3rd line center -- can't think he got traded for peanuts.

Treliving doesn't even talk to his assistant GMs about trades, there's no way he would bother talking to a player.
