Hopefully someone signs him to keep that iron man streak going. Must be close to passing Doug Jarvis for #1 all time.

Pretty much came to say this. He might get by on a third pair with a strong defensive partner, and he'll definitely add value to your PP, but that's it. Super-duper soft player. Never clears the net or fights in the corners for pucks.

Dont know about us signing him... but this would have been a better move for Holland than the Keith trade and that makes me laugh!

The record is 964; Yandle is at 922. Another half-season would do it.

Pretty easy to keep that going when you don’t do Jack #### but QB a power play.

I hope he signs in Edmonton. Yes, I think he is that bad. Easy to play against. Wasn't he used at over 70% offensive zone starts? That's crazy sheltering.
I wouldn't take him at league minimum.

If Tre or Maloney sniffs around this they should get canned.
No more reclaimation projects ffs.
We've got players to play on D and it's time to do so.
Huge pass on Yandle.

I really hope the Flames stay away! He was heavily sheltered this season. He has a ton of assists on the PP and that's about it. I know he has a reputation as being a great teammate, but I have my doubts about him playing D.

Judging by these buyouts where the make sense this year but are awful next year it seems everyone is more desperate than ever for cap space. It’s going to be very difficult to move any bad contracts right now considering the cap will be the same next year too.
Once the expansion draft is over there might be more trades but you would think bad contracts moving around or lots of retained salary
That Keith trade looks worse by the day

Yeah...not sure a Darryl Sutter/Keith Yandle duo is one made in heaven.

Meh… he'll be useful to somebody in a very limited role. I would consider hiring him for league minimum just for the power play, dress him as a 7th D and run 11 forwards, and keep his arse stapled to the bench at even strength.
Of course, he's likely to get better offers from some silly GM who can't stand to lose a competition even when all there is to win is a booby prize. I just wouldn't be that GM.

I think Yandle signs in Boston for <$1M as a 6/7 PP specialist

I think Barrie is going to be disappointed.

I love Yandle but as a player, pass.
Can we sign him just to hang out in the locker room?

Doubt the contract would work money or term wise, and I doubt he wants to come here but we should probably get someone to actually run our PP (even if he needs to be sheltered otherwise).
Our PP is gross and no one did a good enough job last year on the D side.
