Who should the Flames pick with their first round pick?

Would be quite happy if we landed Sillinger.

Coronato and Lysell are intriguing, but have a higher potential bust factor - while I think you ought to try for a HR rather than a single, I don't think the Flames have enough in the cupboard to roll the dice on either of those guys if Sillinger is available.

I would honestly be pretty happy with anyone on this list except Lambos.
I'm warming up to the idea of the goalie if he's there.
I also think there could Evidsson could be there as this draft's dropper but didn't include him

This is the first year I haven't followed the Russian prospects too closely.

And I'm not all about Raty per se. Just have a nagging feeling he's the Flames pick.

I'm all about Chaz or Lysell or Johnson.

I mean, I do really like the Nazarov twins and Ilya Safonov, but they're like 3rd round and below IMO. Would really like Safonov with one of the Flames picks.

Voted Sillinger but think they'll take Svechkov and I'm happy with that or Pinelli.
Those would be my top 2 targets. I think Lucius ends on the wing and McTavish won't be there at 12 so they are out Imo. I want to build down the middle with strong two way smart defensive stalwarts.

I'd avoid Lysell if the rumours of attitude issues are true.

Don't really know any of them but Raty has the best name. Pick the kid who can skate and scores goals (like Cole Caufield type) no matter how many holes he has in his 18 year old game. Goal scoring is a trait that can't really be taught.
