I think women can be competitive in men's hockey at the goalie position so this is a cool first step that hopefully inspires other girls.

Heck, this may have just inspired me to gently guide my girls into playing goalie instead of a player position.

anyone who has had a kid play quadrant hockey knows jsut getting drafted in an accomplishment; however, the relaity of ehr playing is small.

She was drafted in the 14th round and if the O is anything like the Dub - where teams can only have something like 50 roster/non-roster players. so if she goes to a camp and is not one of their top rated goalies, then she will likely be dropped.

Hopefully she purses a free education in the US and battles for a spot on Team Canada.
