I like Carolina, but their broadcast is tough to listen to.

Tripp Tracy is a huge homer who whines about EVERYTHING. He's the one that lost his mind over Lindholm doing the clap after we won in Carolina when he was booed all game for some reason.

I find a lot of the southern teams have really bad biased broadcast teams. They don't know the rules and go off on the refs.

See the Panthers and Bennett's disallowed goal

That's probably a factor.

Tracy was a goalie though, he has no excuse!
Kinda like Brian Hayward on the Anaheim crew, just whines non-stop.

Carolina ties the game at 4 with 3 minutes left in the third.

Going to double OT.

Realized this is the only first round series featuring an Eastern Conference team vs Western Conference team. Good chance we never see another Canes Preds series in our lifetimes.

What a pretty goal by Duchense to end it.

Incredible goal by Duchene!

He tipped that high flipped puck down to himself, drives wide around the D, and protects the puck with one hand before flicking the puck topshelf to avoid the pokecheck.

Bean probably should have intercepted that lob at the blue line with his glove. But it happened so fast.

Josi flip pass and Duchene with a silky move to finish

I think he did the best he could with what he learned from Lomberg

I wonder what the odds will be at the start of next season for the 2022 Stanley Cup final between these two teams?

Well....that was interesting.

Tolvanen gets high-sticked twice within 10 seconds, blood is drawn and they call the double-minor.

Then they review the play and see that the first high-stick was by his own player, the second high-stick was Svechnikov.

So the double-minor is reversed and no penalties are assessed.

You dont see that every day.

Even stranger because after Tolvanen was hit by Ellis, he's clutching his face and Svechnikov comes by and sticklifts him smacking him in head anyways. So he still highsticked it, but they didn't call it because Ellis was the one that drew blood.

So the call to overturn the double minor seems right, but he should still have been given 2 for highsticking, no?

Oh yeah....you're absolutely right. But they didnt. Inexplicably.

Like I said, that was a strange one.

Yikes...those 'Offensive Zone Possession' numbers are pretty grim for Nashville.

They are lucky to still be in this.

2 goals on 7 shots.

Maybe they're trying to bore Carolina's goalie to death.

I didnt type his name because it might be literally unspellable. Who is this guy?

I dont think his name even has any vowels in it.

LOL.

Ok, so Nedeljkovic definitely looked like he was about to cover that puck but Dougie Hamilton completely gave up on defending the crease and started skating away allowing Duchene and Johansen to dig out the rebound and score.

There's a reason defencemen are supposed to stop opponents from getting in close to the net and digging at the goalie for a loose puck.
