Cancel playoffs and start the off season. I’m now more interested where Eichel ends up and what the cost is.

Hopefully this is officially the end of Brad Treliving’s tenure as Flames GM.

Four game series between the Flames and Canucks, loser takes all. Gonna be great hockey.

Inevitable, with the win/loss record against Ottawa. Sad really, this was the year to make the run. The only playoff worthy team in the entire division is Toronto. The other three are mediocre to fair. No excuses, I have always been a Treliving supporter, but at this point he should be shown the door.

Complete failure. Tear it down, hope for a franchise player in the draft. Sick of this.

A quality organization would show him the door tomorrow. The Flames won't, because they are the embodiment of mediocre.

They did twice before. Stomped them in very similar fashion. Just not the other 6 times.

We were screwed the second we let the season get to this point.
The Oilers didnt screw the Flames, the Flames screwed the Flames.
If they'd dialed down 'The Suck' to a reasonable volume a month or so ago this wouldnt have been a problem.
As soon as you leave your fate in someone else's hands, you have no control over what they do with it.
This is 100% Calgary's fault.
I only fly my car flags when the Flames are in the playoffs. I bought them in 2004. They are still in remarkably good condition.

Came in here to check if this game meant they were eliminated or not. First year of me not knowing nor really caring in a long long time. Strange feeling.

That season sucked. What a terrible disappointment!
Next steps:
-Pull anyone from the lineup who is aged or needs to recover or receive surgery before next season,
-Play Phillips, Ruzicka, Kylington and Mackey and
-Play Domingue once and then give the rest of the games to Zagidulin, and
-Try to move up a few spots in the draft lottery rankings (especially after last night, where we went, as a matter of fact, from 6th-11th).

My new White C was only up for the one round in that disaster of the 2019 playoffs.

Time for a rebuild for next 2 seasons. Trade short term and expensive players for picks prospects and cost controlled young players. Anyone who’s contract is up and doesn’t want to sign long term and is close or is already an ufa should move
Takes crap contracts back to maximize returns
If we do it now this team could be very good very quickly
|
It isn't happening. This team is not going rebuild, no chance.

sucks to be eliminated, but I'm glad it's official. Hopefully that means guys like Phillips, Ruzicka, Kylington, and Gawdin draw into every game for the rest of the season.

Montreal has a worse record against the Sens than Calgary...it's more overall poor play.
Not that Montreal is good and any kind of bar either. They get the nod on loser points. I bet in 2 weeks the Flames are better off than the Habs.
