Probably the same thing as last night where the 3 right wingers get more ice time and the centers and left wingers have lower numbers. I was surprised when I first saw that Tkachuck was just over 20, Dube was 18, and Ritchie of all people was over 15. But that pretty much left 5 minutes of ice time for guys like Gaudreau or Mangiapane to take a couple of shifts on their off side.
Will see if the team can bring the same energy they had last night again. Up front the guy who had the least ice time was Derick Ryan which also surprised a bit, the couple times he was out with Mangiapane and Dube that line looked pretty effective.

Such a strange year. Playing the team we are chasing 3 time in a row, if we win those games we are 2 points back. Have to play the greasers a couple of time but with a playoff spot secure hopefully they cut back McLotto's ice time a bit to save him, not that they are unbeatable anyway. Then we have multiple games against the Nucks who are going to be dead tired playing a brutal catch up schedule.
They should be out of it but there really is still a reasonable chance to squeak into 4th. If they manage that they play the Leafs in the first round, those have been competitive games this year. Screw it, 31st pick or bust!
Go Flames!

Hard to know with this draft. And I know there is a benefit to getting the highest pick as possible, but my view is there isn't a ton of difference in the top 10 or so, and even less certainty given the craziness this year.
Whoever the Flames draft will likely be the best prospect they have. However, I don't see a lot of franchise changing potential in this draft. Stars will emerge, but the top end is pretty weak overall.
The next two years are the ones to tank as that's where there is franchise changing possibilities.
This year the difference between drafting say 6th overall v. 10th - is in my opinion pretty trivial.
Well, there is going to be some pretty upset fans who are heavily invested in the draft this year watching the Flames pick 32nd.

Even if they lose every game from here on out I don't think they can finish last.
Arizona doesn't get a 1st round pick this year.
IIRC, the Arizona pick will be voided, but that void will have a pick # attached. The Stanley Cup Champs for 2021 Calgary Flames will indeed pick #32, from what I read. I may be wrong, however, but I remember reading the very same thing here on this board somewhere.
I'll be in front of my TV, cheering for a win so I can keep on hopelessly hoping. I know they won't make the playoffs. Until they're mathematically eliminated I'll hope they can.
Tonight a 14 year old kid from Alberta Children’s Hospital, who as I understand it is a very, very smart awesome teenager, is announcing tonight’s starting line up. Super pumped for him. Really cool for the Flames to do this stuff.

I expect them to lay an egg because they don’t really want to make the playoffs. They really want the nightmare covid crazy season to end and it can’t come soon enough for a few players
