I think the ownership is way more hands on in Vancouver than most places. I think a lot of good owners hire a gm and let them do their thing.

Canucks fans certainly don't like this trade judging by reactions at HF.

I believe this is saving cap for the Canucks.

According to Farhan Lalji, since Benning has been GM of the Canucks, he has acquired ONE draft pick at the deadline. A 4th rounder in 2017.
That's....amazing.

Starting to come out that he had gone to Whistler for a weekend which is where he got covid.
Apparently this went over... Not well with much of the team.
While they've been trying to move Gaudette all season this event made it a "move him for whatever you can" thing.

He wasn't alone either.

I am sure Hamonic is probably really upset right now, and hopefully he got tested in time and is self-isolating away from his daughter.

Then they are super cheap. It's $225K difference. Unless you think Gaudette was getting a big raise after a 7 point season, with no arb rights.

He should spend more time in the gym and less time playing video games.
Is this true, you come across sounding Mean.

He’ll get some sort of raise. The Canucks are desperate for cap space, every bit helps.

He knew the risks. He should have skipped the season if he wanted 0 risk from getting Covid from teammates.

If what is being said is true, his teammate should have had some common sense to no go to a hot spot for an incredibly contagious variant.
I have no issue with guys giving Gaudette a "What the #### were you thinking?"

Highmore had slid out of favor in Chicago, healthy scratched often, limited TOI on 4th line. Often He'd be the one to sit when Kane was getting double shifted, or he'd be the scratch when Colliton dressed 7 D.
