35pts in 23 games in one’s second year of College is impressive, whether he’s playing with Caufield or not. This kid is a player, unfortunately.

Zary played further down the lineup and didn't get the same opportunity that Pelletier did. But also, this ranking might also take into account Zary's performance in the AHL (which was quite good), and his position (C vs W).
I do agree that Pelletier looked really good at the world Juniors though.

Even with the argument that he may just be a complimentary player, he’ll be a complimentary player to two of the top point producers in the NHL.

The Oilers’ scouting has improved, however, that’s not helping then at all when you’ve got boat anchors Neal, Kassian, and Koskinen robbing you of having key players on your team.

Also, can someone correct me if wrong, but isn’t the Holloway family Flames fans? They didn’t seem all too thrilled when Dylan was drafted. Maybe it was the connection but I’ve got my doubts.

They are from the Bragg Creek/Springbank area and Holloway went to school with my kid out there so chances are they are Flames fans. That said, you don't have to be a Flames fan to be sad that your kid is drafted by the Oil.

They WERE Flames fans. He played for the Okotoks Oilers, and grew up in Bragg Creek.

They jumped up and hugged like every other draft pick. Not sure how you get he wasn’t happy.

If I recall in the live broadcast the video of his family had a lag, so it looked like it was announced and there was barely a reaction.

So it looked funny but it was a technical glitch as opposed to a real reaction of disappointment.

Unlike Connor who looked like he legit wanted to cry.

Yeah they showed the reaction when the family actually got the news and they were obviously thrilled. But live was just perfect comedic timing for Flames fans.

Juxtaposed with the Zary family reaction it was all pretty funny at the time.

Sadly Connor may have gotten over it, as hilarious as it was. Perhaps Edmonton has grown on him. Like a fungus.

Can confirm; living in or around Edmonton will make you like the place.

However, it's not a malignant condition like Oilers fanhood.
