Very cool save. The fact that it was on the goal line makes it cooler. That being said, the fact it would be no goal anyway does matter to me. Its basically like making amazing saves in practice. Cool...but the meaning is less...
I think this is completely different than making a save like this in practise. Blackwood in the moment does not take the time to consider whether or not this might count for a goal; players cannot afford the time in game situations to do anything but react. The fact that he was able to react in a game like this is remarkable, and should be celebrated.

Still....its like making a save on a shot that is going wide. It can be impressive AND meaningless.
Did you even watch it? His stick is caught in the players in front and he has to let it go halfway. IMO he actually did start to try to do this before losing his stick.
Also GTFO here with the last bit. I'm not your internet servant.
just a suggestion/ request. I'll stay right where I am there Sir.
Save of the Year for sure. Regardless what you might think about the high stick, maybe the officials would have missed that in the replay challenge (I've seen crazier things). He kept that puck out and that was definitive.

Crazier things I.e. Christiano Ronaldo scoring on us last night?

For starters, Nelson Emerson picks up the puck behind the net (in overtime), closes his hand on it, comes out front, throws it in. It goes to video review and is ruled... a goal?
Darryl Sutter loses his mind and runs onto the ice at the official (Denis Morel, who Flames fans will recognize from his blown call in 1990 on a Flames OT goal against the Kings in the playoffs, showing he was no good with or without video review).
