A bit shaky early on for Markstrom, but to his credit no goals allowed in the last 36 mins.

SN Ontario gives Gio first star and Markey third star.

Bruh, the 7-3 Edmonton drubbing was waaaay worse.

The Leafs' defense core is really good. Really hard to dump and chase against them.

We need upgrades on the backend

I just wanted 1 win against Toronto so I'm happy. Now make it 2 tomorrow.

Even 3 points in the 2 game set against Ottawa Monday/Wednesday will be a disappointment though.

Good chance to start 6-2 at worst under Sutter.

make it happen.

That stop on Matthews will be Markstrom's "getting his groove back" moment for the season.

Not their best game but they got the two points.

Feel like that happens when you lead all game sometimes too, especially against a good team like the Leafs.

They are going to keep pushing and pushing.

One of Tkachuk’s better games in the last month or so.

Whew! That was an ugly one, and the Flames were badly outplayed for large stretches of that game, but 2 points is 2 points and this was an obvious improvement from the last game.

Hopefully this is another baby step in the right direction. Now let's play even better in the next one and go for the sweep!
