No free lanes to the net for McDavid.

Sweep the leg Johnny.

They can double shift the Wonder Twins all they want, with last change and the current style he has the team playing I'm pretty confident Sutter will do a good job in getting his team to contain them. I don't see the Oilers depth players responding well to that aggressive forecheck.

Flames seven points back with two games in hand. These two games are immense to avoid having to focus solely on Montreal and 4th place.

Calgary lost their last 3 games to the Oil because they sat back and gave McDoofus way too much time and space, allowing him to run the show. Hopefully with Sutter behind the bench we'll see a much faster and more aggressive and assertive Flames team tonight.

I want to see the entire SN crew in tears tonight. Just win, goddammit.

Yeah exactly. They lose both and it's Montreal only and probably no one.

Sweep them and it's on with both teams.

When these four games started I was hoping for 3-1 or even 3-0-1. Seems more possible with 2-0-0 in the bank.

I look forward to seeing if our aggressive forecheck can take advantage of their defense. Should totally change the dynamic of the game.

And more defensive zone for 97 and 29 which is always fun to watch (assuming they're not standing at center and hoping someone springs them)

as an aside ... anyone else finding Draisaitl more and more unlikeable?

His pissiness with the media.
The hack/whack on Gaudreau and then Mangiapane.
Beaver tailing the ice when he wants a pass.
Shaking his head when he doesn't get it.

I'm sure their fan base loves him, but from the outside he seems like a knob.

I haven’t found him to be likeable since the minute he refused to snub the Oilers at the draft. Anyone who willingly puts on an Oilers uniform under any circumstance is an unlikable doofus.

Yeah I used to like and respect him but he's turned into such a whiny turd

Montreal in Winnipeg tonight.

A Jets win and Flames win would mean even with Montreal (Habs one game in hand), and 5 points back of Edmonton with two games in hand.

That free lane to the net garbage might have been the dumbest thing I have ever heard from a knowledgeable hockey broadcaster.

It's a muddied thing.

McDavid is allowed to skate as fast as he wants. But a player is allowed to trip a player at any time and get a two minute penalty ... happens in every game. Does McDavid and his speed taking those sharp to the net angles mean you can't trip him? Not sure I see that in the rules any where.

So he has to take some of the risk for the positions he's putting himself in.

Say that though and you're accused of everything under the sun.

Oilers suck. All the bed wetting and free lanes for McD won’t change that. Time to put these goofs back where they belong.

GFG.
