Is it 4 March? The day that Sutter was announced as the head coach of the Calgary Flames?
Is it 5 March? The day that Sutter was publicly introduced as the head coach of the Flames?
Is it 6 March? The date of the first game played after Sutter was hired as head coach?
Is it 8 March? The day that Sutter arrived at the Saddledome?
Is it 9 March? The day of his first practice with the Flames?
Is it today? The day that he first steps back behind the Flames bench?
It's too much. Instead of Darryl Sutter Day, this should really be the final day of the week-long celebration of "Darryl Sutter Days" from 4–11 March. The first day will be known as "Darryl Sutter's Eve," followed by progressively more elaborate celebrations which culminate in "Darryl Sutter Day" on the 11th.

Would not be surprised at all if this team gets a new coach bump under Sutter for a few days, the question is will the players keep it going for a sustained period? Wouldn't bet a lot of money on that. Let's just hope they can at least win a few and make things interesting for us again.
Hope Ritchie has a big game, I've been pleasantly surprised with his play. He's like found money for this team.

I take it you are good with this hire?

If they come out flat or only put in a 20 min effort is there anything in the CBA preventing Darryl from keeping them on the bench after the game and bag skating everyone?
If they lose these two games, they're likely done and the season is pretty much a write off. Win both and it's something to build on and gain confidence from.
I think Sutter will have them prepared, but it'll all depend on how much the players are willing to buy in and work hard for 60 minutes. Tonight will be an interesting game for sure.
Really want them to make the playoffs as it would seem like a wasted year to me if they didn't. But, I also understand that they simply may not have enough time.
So, what I'm really interested to see is how certain players respond on the forecheck over the next 2-3 weeks. Namely, Bennett, Monahan, Backlund, and Lindholm. These are key players for this team..they need these guy creating on the forecheck more than thy have.
